Project Management Software
Does your builder track invoices, receipts, costs, payables, and receivables throughout the life of the project? This question is required.
Accounting System
Does your builder have any in-house or contract employees and what roles do they play throughout the Builder Process? This question is required.
Support Team
Does your builder track and store all project related documents, such as selections, project photos, specification manuals, plans, permits, etc? This question is required.
Documentation
Are there standards set forth by your builder for communication between Homeowner, builder, and support team? This question is required.
Communication Systems
Are there procedures for safety on your project put in place and if so, what are they? Fire Hazards, Theft, Subcontractor Safety, etc. This question is required.
Safety Systems
Is there a process for changes to plans, design, and selections? This question is required.
Change Order Procedure
Does your GC have at least 3 references of similar project-type builds? This question is required.
References (Minimum of 3)
Does your GC have a contract and what’s in it? Have you had 3rd party counsel review the contract? If so, ensure you obtain those details. This question is required.
Contract
Is there a warranty process that your builder has in place to meet state minimums and what is the procedure to file a claim? If so, ensure you obtain those details. This question is required.
